Barbara Nahmias is an artist and art instructor living in Riverdale, New York. She defines herself as a “latent lifelong artist” who blossomed creatively after retirement from her position at a major media company.  Although Barbara works in a variety of mediums, her greatest passion is working with alcohol inks on Yupo paper, glass, wood and ceramic tile. She teaches her technique privately at her home studio and has taught publicly at the New York Public Library, Stony Point Retreat Center, Wave Hill, The Women Supporting Women Center in Exeter, NH, and other locations. Barbara’s personal mission as a teacher is to help awaken latent creativity in others, and to create a container for personal growth through art.
